Barnard 33 - The Horsehead Nebula
One of the most recognizable winter targets is The Horsehead Nebula. Considered a small dark nebula, The horsehead shape is created by thick dust clouds that block out light from the illuminating stars.
The Horsehead Nebula is about 1,375 light years from earth.
